India beat Namibia by 197 runs to enter the semifinals of the Under-19 World Cup, reports india.com.  

Winning the toss and electing to bat, India made 349 for six in their allotted 50 overs.

Rishabh Pant was once again the star and cracked a magnificent 111 off 96 balls. The opener slammed 14 fours and 2 sixes in his aggressive knock.

Meanwhile, among the other contributors, Sarfaraz Khan hit 76 at run a ball, hitting 6 fours and a six.

Among the bowlers for Namibia, Fritz Coetzee stood out, bagging three wickets.

350 was always going to prove a tough score to chase and it proved that way.

Namibia, under the pressure to chase a big one, looked inept and out of place as they were bowled out for 152 in 39 overs.

The man who made the highest score for Namibia was Niko Davin, who stroked 33.

For India, Mayank Dagar was the pick of the bowlers, he had figures of three for 35. Also, Anmolpreet Singh had a good outing and finished with figures of three for 27.

Washington Sundar also had decent figures of two for 27. In the end, Namibia were no match for the tournament favourites. While Namibia were a plucky team in the World Cup, India’s class came through here.
