Bangladesh squad for Afghanistan ODI series announced

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday announced a 13-member ODI squad for the first and second one-day international matches against Afghanistan.

Bangladesh have picked the uncapped Mosaddek Hossain in the squad. However, there was no place for Al-Amin Hossain, with Shafiul Islam making a comeback in the side.

Mosaddek had played a solitary T20I earlier this year against Zimbabwe but he has been long considered as a potential international player due to his strong domestic performances.

Afghanistan will play three matches against Bangladesh on September 25, 28 and October 1 and all the matches will be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

The Afghan team’s tour will be followed closely by the tour of England team, who are set to arrive on September 30 to play two Tests and three one-day Internationals in Chittagong and Dhaka.
