Bangladesh clinch Bangabandhu Int'l Volleyball title

Hosts Bangladesh clinched the title of Bangabandhu Asian Senior Men's Central Zone International Volleyball Championship beating Kyrgyzstan comfortably by 3-0 sets at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium on Tuesday.

The hosts took the first and second sets by 25-22 25-23 point points respectively. Kyrgyzstan, however, pulled out from the game during the third set due to an unexpected injury of Toktoev Nurmukhammed.

Bangladesh were leading the set 7-6 when Kyrgyzstan decided to give up, prompting the match officials to declare Bangladesh winners by 3-0 straight sets.

It is the maiden international title for Bangladesh in volleyball.
