Arafat Sunny gets interim bail

National team cricketer Arafat Sunny received an interim bail for a month in a case under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge M Kamrul Islam Molla passed the order on Thursday.

Court's state lawyer Taposh Kumar Paul confirmed the media.

He said the plaintiff Nasrin who claimed herself as the cricketer's wife stated at the court that both parties negotiated, so she do not have any problem on bail.

Earlier on February 1, the lady filed a case against Sanny and his mother.

However, the cricketer is also facing another case filed by the woman on January 5 under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act accusing him of posting offensive photographs using a fake facebook account.

Police arrested the national cricketer from Aminbazar area of Savar upazila on January 19.
