Kohli, Pandya steer India to 168

India managed to register a par-score at the Adelaide Oval in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup in Adelaide on Thursday thanks in large part to the excellent play of Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya.

India finished the 20 overs with 168 for 6 with to two half-centuries from Kohli and Pandya.

India struggled during the first half of their innings after being asked to bat first. They lost both of their openers, and the English bowlers, under the direction of the leg-spinner Adil Rashid, were disciplined in controlling the run rate.

India appeared to be in trouble after Rashid took Suryakumar Yadav's prized wicket in the 12th over. At the Adelaide Oval, India's batting sped to a par score, but big players Kohli and Pandya came through when it counted.
