‘Thank you Bangladesh, your support was wonderful!’

Argentina Football Team's official twitter handle thanked Bangladesh for the wonderful support of its people to Argentina.

"Thank you Bangladesh, Thank you Kerala, India, Pakistan. Your support was wonderful!" Seleccion Argentina tweeted.

Following Argentina's third World Cup victory in an electrifying final against France on Sunday, the streets of the metropolitans and village Bangladesh are alive with waving flags, cries, and applause for Lionel Messi and Argentina.

The three-time world champions have a large global following, and among the three Asian nations that consistently supported La Albiceleste during the World Cup were Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan.

Earlier, against France at Lusail Stadium, Argentina overcame a 36-year drought to win football's top trophy, and captain Lionel Messi accomplished his career-best feat of winning the World Cup.

"I want to play a few more games as a world champion. I was lucky to clinch every title in my career; this was the only one missing. I want to take this one there (to Argentina) and enjoy it with everybody else," said Lionel Messi, who won the Golden ball, becoming the first man to do so twice.
