India defeat Pakistan by seven wickets in T20 World Cup

India defeated arch rivals Pakistan by seven wickets in the Women's T20 World Cup at Newlands on Sunday.

Chasing 150 to win, India reached their target with six balls to spare after Jemimah Rodrigues hit an undefeated 53 off 38 deliveries with eight fours, reports AFP.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof (68 not out) and hard-hitting Ayesha Naseem (43 not out) had boosted their side's total after struggling to 68 for four in the 13th over.
