Tigers asked to bat first

Losing the toss, Bangladesh started batting first in the opening game of the three-match ODI series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

The home side handed an ODI debut to Towhid Hridoy who earlier made his T20 debut against England last week. 

Balbirnie and offspinner Andy McBrine returned to the side, replacing Murray Cummins and Josh Little.
