Shanto scores two tons in a Test

Najmul Hossain Shanto is one of the two batters of Bangladesh who has ever recorded centuries in both innings of a Test match.

The southpaw batsman scored 146 runs in the first inning of the one-off Test match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the capital’s Mirpur. He added a second century on Friday in the second inning.

Shanto reached the three-figure milestone off of 115 deliveries after losing his overnight partner Zakir Hasan due to a run-out. 

Shanto finished the first inning with a century after 118 deliveries.
