BCB announces bonus for women cricketers

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday has announced a bonus of Tk 35 lakh for the cricketers and staff of the Bangladesh women's team due to their success against India.

Out of the total bonus, the women cricketers will get a cash prize of Tk 25 lakh, said BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon.

Fargana Hoque Pinki, who scored the first century in women's cricket for the country, will get a prize of Tk two lakh. Also, some other cricketers who have performed well will get separate bonus.

The three-match ODI series between India and the Bangladesh women's cricket team ended in a draw. After winning the first game, the series was tied by a tie in the subsequent game.

BCB president Papon told the media that he was very happy with the performance of the girls as they get very less facilities compared to others.

The facilities for girls will be increased, said the BCB boss adding that other staff, including pace bowling coach, will be added to the women's cricket team.
