Sakib, Hathurusingha satisfied with Asia Cup preparations

Asia Cup is set to kick off on August 30, and the Bangladesh team will leave for Sri Lanka to join it on Sunday. Ahead of the departure, skipper Shakib Al Hasan and coach Chandika Hathurusingha attended a press conference on Saturday.

"Our first match in the Asia Cup is against Sri Lanka. Batters get more runs there. Something similar will happen this time, so it will be a challenge for bowlers. But we have taken adequate preparations," Shakib said.

Mentioning that he wants to try to win every match, Shakib said the team is prepared from all possible angles.

"We have played well in the Asia Cup before. We want to perform well this time too," he said.

Meanwhile, Hathurusingha said, "I am very satisfied with the preparation. First, we worked with fitness and then with skills."
