Anamul replaces ailing Liton in Tigers' Asia Cup squad

The Asia Cup will kick off with Pakistan-Nepal match on Wednesday afternoon. Bangladesh's opening game against Sri Lanka is scheduled for Thursday, but opener Liton Das was finally ruled out of the tournament after failing to recover adequately from the viral fever.

Instead of Liton, Anamul Haque Bijoy will be included in the squad as his replacement, reads a mail from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday.

Liton is the second player from the Asia Cup squad to be ruled out after fast bowler Ebadot Hossain, who was sidelined after failing to recover from the injury.
