Dua Lipa to perform at World Cup 2023 final?

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final between Australia and India on Sunday will feature a performance by Dua Lipa and an aerial spectacle by the Indian Air Force.

The prime ministers of Australia and India are expected to attend the high-profile event, which is set to take place at the Narendra Modi stadium, the largest cricket venue in the world.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has extended invitations to all past World Cup winning captains, including Indian cricket legends MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev. 

Other well-known invitees include veteran stars Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan.

Pop artist Dua Lipa teased fans in a new Star Sports video that was posted on X.

In the video, Lipa is shown being questioned by cricket stars Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Kane Williamson over possible music selections for the ceremony.

The Indian Air Force's Surya Kiran squad will perform during the World Cup final. In an exclusive show for the public, aircraft will light up the skies above Ahmedabad.

It's yet unclear if the festivities will take place in conjunction with a formal closing ceremony.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet made any announcements on a closing ceremony.
