Mustafizur roped in by Chennai Super Kings in IPL auction

Bangladesh paceman Mustafizur Rahman has been purchased by IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a base price of INR 2 crore during the IPL auction in Dubai.

CSK also acquired New Zealand players Daryll Mitchell for 14 crore INR and Rachin Ravindra for INR 1.8 crore.

Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam were not allowed to participate in the auction by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) due to national team commitments for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Mustafizur, who previously played for Delhi Capitals, will now join MS Dhoni's CSK team along with Shardul Thakur, who was signed for INR 5.80 crores.

Mustafizur had previously won the IPL in 2016 with Sunrisers Hyderabad.
