Soumya's 169 gives Bangladesh fighting chance

Soumya Sarkar hit a ton and took Bangladesh to 291 runs in the first innings against New Zealand in the second match at Saxton Oval in Nelson on Wednesday.

The match started at 4am (Bangladesh time). New Zealand won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat first.

Earlier, Soumya faced criticism after scoring nil in the first match against New Zealand. On Wednesday left the crease after scoring 169. After 49.5 overs, Bangladesh were all out.
