Shanto made Bangladesh captain in all formats

Najmul Hossain Shanto has been made the captain of Bangladesh National Cricket Team in all three formats.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) took the decision after a board meeting held at the BCB headquarters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Monday.

Youth and Sports Minister and BCB president Najmul Hassan Papon made the disclosure to the reporters after the meeting.

Earlier, Shanto led the team for both the home and away series against New Zealand in place of regular captain Shakib Al Hasan.

Under Shanto's captaincy, the Tigers triumphed in their first home Test match against the Black Caps as well as their first ODI and Twenty20 games in New Zealand against the Kiwis.
