Bangladesh bowl first in 1st ODI against Sri Lanka

Winning the toss in the first of three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis opted to bat first.

The first ODI is being held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka won the just concluded T20 series 2-1, giving them a great start to the tour.

The seasoned Mahmudullah has returned to the Bangladesh starting lineup after missing the team's final ODI series against New Zealand the year before. Mahmudullah led Bangladesh in scoring at the World Cup.

This will be the first ODI between the two sides after the World Cup match in India, where Bangladesh won by three wickets after Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews was timed out.
