Kazi Salahuddin will not contest in upcoming BFF polls

Kazi Salahuddin will not contest in the coming elections of Bangladesh Football Federation.

The incumbent president made the announcement at a press conference at the BFF House on Saturday.

The former star footballer took over the charge of chief of the football body in 2008 and served it for four consecutive terms.

While talking to journalists at his office, Salahuddin said that he would not participate in the upcoming elections scheduled to be held on October 26 and it is his final decision.

"I was with you for four terms. I consider myself very fortunate to have had this chance in my life,” he added. 

Salahuddin moved to his office for the first time after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government on August 5.
