Archer Alif reaches Asia Cup final in Singapore

Bangladeshi archer Abdur Rahman Alif advanced to the men's recurve individual final after defeating Chinese Taipei's Pin An Chen 6-4 in set points during a tightly contested semifinal. 

Alif secured the victory by a narrow margin, winning the decisive third set 10-8 after losing the first set 10-9 and drawing the second 9-9.

The 19-year-old, ranked 42nd in the world, previously overcame Chinese Taipei's Tai-Yen Liu in the quarterfinals. 

He will now face Japan's Gakuto Miyata in the final on Friday. 

Alif is set to become the second Bangladeshi man to vie for an Asia Cup gold medal in archery, following Ruman Sana's earlier triumph.
