SAFF U-17: Bangladesh take on Nepal today

Bangladesh U-17 women's football team is looking forward to continuing their winning run as they face Nepal in the return match of the four-nation SAFF U-17 Women's Championship scheduled to be held at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu on Wednesday afternoon.

The match kicks off at 3 pm Bangladesh time. India will meet Bhutan in the second match of the day's fixture at 6 pm at the same venue. 

Bangladesh stands in second position in the league table with six points from three matches, while Nepal follows Bangladesh with three points, playing the same number of matches. India dominates the league table, maintaining their all-win record with nine points after playing the same number of outings. 

Earlier, Bangladesh made a winning start in the tournament, beating host Bhutan 3-1, but lost to India by 2-0 goals. The girls in red and green, however, returned to a winning streak by defeating Nepal by 3-0 goals. 

On the other hand, Nepal suffered a massive 7-0 defeat to India in their opening match, but they beat Bhutan 2-1 in their second match. Nepal, however, lost to Bangladesh 3-0 in their third match of the tournament.

Bangladesh will play their remaining return matches against Bhutan and India on August 29 and 31, respectively, at the same venue.
