Shamim returns to squad for final T20 against Ireland

Middle-order batter Shamim Patwari has been included in the Bangladesh squad for the third and final T20 International against Ireland.

The match will decide the series winner. It is scheduled to be held on Monday at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram. 

The series is currently tied 1-1. Bangladesh lost the first match by 39 runs before hitting back to winning ways with a four-wicket victory in the next game. 

Left-hander Shamim has played 46 matches in this format for Bangladesh, scoring 579 runs at a strike rate of 123.71. He has hit just one half-century so far in this format.

He was dismissed for a single-digit figure five times, including three ducks in his last seven matches in this format.
