Pakistan team in Dhaka to play Test series

The Pakistan national cricket team arrived in Dhaka on Sunday morning ahead of a two-match Test series against Bangladesh. 

Not all squad members travelled in the first group, with several players remaining home for the Pakistan Super League final. The remainders are expected to join later.

Shan Masood will captain the side, while former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed joins the team in a new role as coach. 

The Pakistan Cricket Board has also included four new players in the touring squad.

The first Test will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on May 8, with the second Test scheduled for Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on May 16. 

Both matches form part of the 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle.

Pakistan Test squad: Shan Masood (captain), Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Muhammad Ghazi Ghori (wicketkeeper), Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
