Bangladesh face Uzbekistan tonight

Bangladesh will begin their AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifying campaign when they face hosts Uzbekistan in their opening Group B match at the Do'stlik Stadium in Tashkent tonight (Monday). The match kicks off at 8 pm Bangladesh time.

The eight group winners and seven best runners-up from the qualifying round will advance to the AFC U-20 Asian Cup finals. Bangladesh, who have been placed in Group B in Uzbekistan, will face Syria and India on September 3 and 6, respectively, in their remaining group-stage matches.

Even if Bangladesh fail to finish as group champions, they can still qualify for the finals by finishing as one of the seven best runners-up.

The Bangladesh team, which recently won the SAFF U-20 Championship, will be looking to carry that momentum into the qualifying campaign and secure a place in the finals.
