New AI era arrived with ChatGPT: Huawei chairman

ChatGPT, a popular text reply application, represents the new era of AI, Huawei Rotating Chairman Hu Houkun said recently.

The top leader of Huawei predicts that both personal and industrial applications will be rewritten by this new artificial intelligence and it’s the future of the AI industry.

Houkun made the remarks during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Leaders China Forum in Beijing, reports Huawei Central.

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI based on the company’s generative pre-trained transformer series of large language models.

By January 2023, it had become the fastest-growing consumer software application in history. It gained over 100 million users and contributed to OpenAI’s valuation growing to US$29 billion

Meanwhile, there have been reports that Huawei is working on its ChatGPT, but the company has not given any official confirmation on this matter.
