Usage of govt cloud services to save operational costs: Speakers

Speakers has urged to use reliable and quality cloud services of National Data Center (NDC) to save operational cost and investment for IT infrastructure.

They made the call while addressing a workshop on ‘Facilitate Digital Government through Government Infrastructure’ on Monday.

World Bank financed Enhancing Digital Government and Economy (EDGE) Project of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) orgnised the programme at BCC auditorium.

The function was addressed, among others by, Executive Director of BCC Ranjit Kumar, EDGE Project Director Nahid Sultana Mallik, Director NDC and Director (Policy, Planning and Strategy) of BCC Md. Abu Sayed.

Architect (Enterprise and Data Center) of BCC Hasan Uj Jaman presented a keynote paper on Facilitate Digital Government through Government Infrastructure.

Deputy Project Director of EDGE Engineer Mohammad Saiful Alam Khan chaired the function.

Ranjit Kumar said the use of cloud services from NDC will help government organizations to reduce cost of operations as well as investment in IT infrastructure.  

Nahid Sultana Mallik said in line with the implementation of e-government, the EDGE project has taken initiative to strengthened National Data Centre.
