3-day mobile internet packages scrapped

3-day mobile internet packages have been scrapped as of Sunday (October 15). Consumers  can no longer purchase 3-day packages and have to resort to purchasing packages with a minimum of 7-day validity.

As the prices of 7-day packages are more than 3-day ones, it is assumed that consumers will have to spend more on mobile internet from now on. 

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has given mobile operators the scope to only offer 7-day and 30-day internet packages. Aside from that, unlimited packages are also allowed. Each operator can only offer up to 40 internet packages.
