4G internet service suspended countrywide

Mobile internet 4G services are suspended all over the country, including the capital on Thursday. However, broadband services are still active.

Users have complained that they were unable to access the internet on their mobile devices. Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp and some other apps have become inaccessible. 

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) could not be contacted for comments on the matter. 

It may be mentioned that 4G internet in all universities of the country has been suspended since 16 July. Users can only make audio calls using the 2G network.
