Hitler becomes BIJF president, Sabbin Hasan secretary

Md A Halim (Hitler A Halim), Editor of InfotechInsight.com, has been elected as the president of Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF), and Sabbin Hasan, Digital Growth Editor of The Daily Samakal, has been elected as the general secretary.

Hitler bagged 42 votes while his rival candidate Zakir Hassan got 22 votes. On the other hand, Sabbin received 39 votes while his rival candidate Mizanur Rahman got 25 votes.

BIJF is an organization of journalists in the information technology sector of Bangladesh.

The Election Commission announced the results after the day-long election at Vision-2021 Tower in Karwan Bazar in the capital on Friday.

Earlier, 64 out of 67 voters cast their votes in the election held from 9 am to 4 pm. 

A total of 18 candidates contested for 9 posts in this election of the executive committee of BIJF for the 2024-26 term.
