HawkEyes Digital Monitoring Ltd, a Dhaka-based technology firm, has been named "Best AI-Powered Retail Analytics & Merchandising Automation Company 2025" at Corporate Vision magazine's Technology Innovator Awards.

Published by UK-based AI Global Media, the awards recognise groundbreaking innovations in technology worldwide, said a press release.

Corporate Vision, a monthly digital publication under AI Global Media Ltd, founded in 2010 and headquartered in the UK, aims to deliver insightful features on corporate advancements across sectors like technology, HR, marketing, and more.

With a global readership of business leaders and decision-makers, the magazine's awards programmes, including the Technology Innovator Awards, celebrate companies driving innovation and excellence, often highlighting merit-based achievements from diverse regions.

Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands face significant losses due to poor retail execution. While substantial budgets—often 20-24 percent of revenue—are allocated to trade promotions for shelf space and displays, visibility and stock availability remain elusive in many markets.

In Bangladesh, where over 98 percent of the 2.2 million retail outlets are unstructured general trade (GT) neighborhood grocers lacking digital infrastructure, brands lose visibility once products reach stores.

Traditional manual audits by field representatives are slow, error-prone, and only 30-60 percent accurate, leading to nearly half of promotions resulting in financial losses.

HawkEyes' flagship solution, M-Lens—an end-to-end merchandising automation platform powered by computer vision AI—tackles this directly.

Field reps simply photograph shelves, and the AI analyses images in seconds to identify products, count stock, detect gaps, and flag merchandising issues.

Users report 70 percent higher productivity for field teams, eliminating hours of manual data entry, alongside 15-30 percent sales uplifts or equivalent cost savings in operations and marketing.

What sets HawkEyes apart is its design for challenging environments. Unlike Western-focused retail tech that struggles in chaotic settings, M-Lens handles mixed Bengali-English signage, cramped shops, poor connectivity, and disruptions like monsoons.

Trained on the industry's largest dataset of FMCG SKUs, the platform now monitors over 1.5 million outlets—the largest network in Bangladesh—delivering accurate insights across both modern trade supermarkets and general trade stores.

It also uniquely integrates outdoor advertising tracking, allowing managers to monitor billboards and in-store stock via one app for comprehensive market visibility.

Adopted by Bangladesh's largest FMCG companies, including multinational giants, M-Lens demonstrates enterprise-grade reliability. As HawkEyes CEO Mirza Ferdous Ohid stated, “The financial impact is clear: if you fix shelf availability by just 1 percent, sales go up by 2-3 percent. This solution is no longer a luxury; it is the lifeline of competitive survival. M-Lens isn't about digitising the field force; it’s about securing the profitability that brands are currently leaving on the table.”

This award underscores the rise of innovative tech solutions from emerging markets like Bangladesh, proving that world-class tools can emerge from anywhere to solve global problems.
