Venezuela urges Dhaka to join upcoming NAM summit

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro Moros has urged Bangladesh government to participate in the upcoming NAM Summit to be held in Venezuela, reports the BSS.

 

"The ideals and the principles of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) are more relevant today than ever before," he said.

 

The president made the comments when Ambassador Mohammad Ziauddin held a brief meeting with the President following presentation of his credential to him as the non-resident Ambassador of Bangladesh to Venezuela on Wednesday.

 

Expressing warm wishes for the people and government of Bangladesh, President Moros stressed on mutual support and cooperation for strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries, according to message received here today.
