Another train derails in India's Odisha, no casualties reported

A goods train carrying limestone went off the rails in the Bargarh area of Odisha state in India on Monday, just three days after the state witnessed a deadly trail crash which killed at least 288 people.

No casualties were reported so far, and only a few coaches have reportedly derailed, NDTV reports.

The East Coast Railway has said some wagons of a goods train operated by a private cement factory derailed inside the factory premises near Mendhapali of Bargarh district, and "there is no role of Railways in this matter".

There is a private narrow gauge rail line between the Dungri Limestone mines and the cement plant of ACC in Bargarh. The line, wagons, and locomotive, all are private and are in no way connected with the Indian Railway system, sources have said.
