Over 1,000 dead in latest Palestinian-Israeli clash

Over 1,000 Palestinians and Israelis have been killed in the escalation of tensions and violence that began on Saturday morning. 

The death toll from Hamas' surprise attack on Israel has reached 659 while Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have killed 370 people, according to media accounts, reports CGTN.

Netanyahu speaks with German, Ukrainian, Italian, British leaders

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday spoke with the leaders of Germany, Ukraine, Italy and Britain, who all expressed support of Israel's right to defend itself "as much as it takes," said a statement from Netanyahu's office.
