At least 11 wounded in Israel after latest Iranian attack

Eleven people in Israel have been hurt from Iran’s missile attack and are receiving medical treatment, Al Jazeera reports. 

Israel's emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), says 11 injured people are being taken to hospital after the latest Iranian strikes, BBC reports.

The injured include one person in moderate condition - a 30-year-old man with a shrapnel wound to his upper body. The other 10 people have light injuries with bruises.

A spokesperson for Israel’s emergency services has said that initial reports show rockets and shrapnel fell in 10 locations in Israel, including Carmel, Haifa, the Tel Aviv area and the northern coastal plain.

Earlier, AFP citing Israel's military said two waves of missiles were fired from Iran, as air raid sirens rang out in Tel Aviv and explosions rocked Jerusalem.

A similar statement about another wave of missiles was issued 30 minutes later before the alert was lifted at around 8:10 am (0510 GMT).
