Humanity wants an end to Russia-Ukraine conflict: Modi tells Putin

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the SCO summit in China on Monday, NDTV reports. 

Modi told the Russian leader that humanity wants an end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He also mentioned their regular high-level interactions reflect the depth of the special partnership, adding that 140 crore Indians are eagerly awaiting the 23rd summit in December.

He added that in difficult times, India and Russia have stood shoulder to shoulder, and their close people-to-people ties are vital for global stability.
