Nepal's prime minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned as anti-corruption protests escalate, BBC reports.

Protesters have set fire to the home of an ex-PM and three ministers have resigned.

Protests erupted on Monday, ostensibly over a social media ban that the government has since reversed.

But the ban, which sought to stifle an anti-corruption campaign, sparked protests and clashes with police that left 19 people dead.
