Death toll in Nepal protests rises to 34

Nepal's Ministry of Health and Population announced that 34 people have died and 1,368 have been injured in hospitals across Nepal following the recent Gen Z demonstrations. 

Ministry spokesperson Dr Prakash Budhathoki said most of the injured have already been released after treatment, with 949 individuals discharged so far, The Himalayan Times reports. 

Among the injured still under care are 58 at the Trauma Centre, 48 at Civil Service Hospital, 35 at Kathmandu Medical College, 25 at TUTH, and 26 at Birendra Military Hospital.

Authorities continue to monitor hospitals and coordinate with security agencies as protests persist in several regions.
