'Europe won't be blackmailed,' Danish PM says

Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says "Europe won't be blackmailed" in response to Trump's threat to tariff eight Nato members over Greenland.

The leaders of Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK warn in a joint statement that Trump's plan risks a "dangerous downward spiral", reports BBC.

The eight countries says they stand firmly behind "the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity" for Greenland despite threats of a 10% tariff.

Meanwhile, thousands have been protesting against Trump's plans in Greenland and Denmark.
