Multiple explosions in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia

Multiple explosions rocked several Gulf countries on Saturday, amid escalating conflict following US and Israeli strikes on Iran.

Reports indicate that Iran launched retaliatory missile attacks targeting US military bases in the region, sparking widespread fear of broader war.

In Bahrain, smoke rose over the Juffair area near the US Navy's Fifth Fleet headquarters after a confirmed missile strike, with the Bahraini Interior Ministry issuing an emergency alert and urging residents to seek shelter.

Witnesses described loud blasts, and state media confirmed the attack on the naval facility.

Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates experienced loud explosions, with the defense ministry reporting that air defenses intercepted several Iranian ballistic missiles; falling debris caused at least one fatality, though details on further damage remained unclear initially.

Explosions were heard in Doha, Qatar, near the Al Udeid Air Base, a major US facility, where the defense ministry stated that incoming missiles had been neutralized by defenses.

Kuwait also reported explosion sounds followed by nationwide warning sirens, linked to threats against the Ali Al Salem Air Base.

In Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh, AFP correspondents reported loud explosions, raising concerns about potential spillover to US-coordinated sites there.

Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency claimed the Revolutionary Guards targeted multiple US bases across Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Kuwait in response to the earlier aggression. 

These simultaneous incidents across nations hosting American forces have heightened regional tensions, with airspace closures, shelter warnings, and urgent calls for civilians to stay safe spreading panic throughout the Middle East.
