Tehran's 'views' on ending war shared at Islamabad talks: Araghchi

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says he's presented Tehran's "views and considerations" on ending the war during a meeting with the head of Pakistan's armed forces in Islamabad.

He appears to have come to the Pakistani capital with a comprehensive proposal to pass to Pakistan, BBC Persian's Jiyar Gol writes from Islamabad, reports BBC.

Yesterday the White House said US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner would also head to Pakistan on Saturday for talks with Iran.

But Iranian state media reports that Araghchi has already left the country. Iranian officials earlier told the BBC that a meeting with the US was not on his agenda.

Over the past week, US officials have repeatedly downplayed suggestions that they feel pressure to wrap the war up quickly.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces says it has killed four people it described as members of Hezbollah, while Hezbollah says it has attacked the Israeli military, during a recently extended ceasefire.
