Kuwait Airport closed after Iran drone attack

An Iranian drone and missile attack struck Kuwait's international airport early on Wednesday, resulting in injuries and severe damage to the T1 building.

The incident forced authorities to divert flights, as reported by Kuwait's state news agency, reports The Independent.

The US military confirmed that two Iranian missiles targeting Kuwait fell short or broke apart, while three missiles launched at Bahrain were intercepted by US and Bahraini forces.

US Central Command stated that Iran launched ballistic missiles towards regional neighbours, but all failed to hit their intended targets.

In response to these attempted attacks, US forces conducted strikes on Qeshm Island and successfully defeated multiple Iranian ballistic missiles and drones.
