Hina Rabbani to join D-8 conference in Dhaka

The 20th Conference of Ministers of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation will be held on Wednesday, and Hina Rabbani Khar, the Pakistani minister of state for foreign affairs, will attend.

Since the war crimes trial in which Bangladeshi collaborators of Pakistan during the 1971 Liberation War were sentenced to death for crimes against humanity, there hasn't been a Pakistani minister's travel to Bangladesh in ten years.

According to Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will essentially open the D-8 ministerial assembly, also known as the Developing-8.

The other members of the bloc are Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria and Turkey.
