Heavy rainfall likely across country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind in all eight divisions of the country.

The weather bulletin was issued Saturday morning for the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions," it said.

It also forecast that the existing mild heat wave which is sweeping over Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions and the districts of Tangail, Sylhet and Chuadanga, may abate from some places.
